Maria's unique rich mezzo voice is particularly suited to Baroque and Russian repertoire and her dark Mediterranean looks are ideal casting for Carmen.

Maria has sung Mme Dangerville (Adrianna Lecouvreur), Suzy (La Rondine) at London's Holland Park Festival; the title role in Iolanthe, Phoebe (Yeomen of the Guard) and Pitti Sing (Mikado) at the Savoy Theatre with the D'oyly Carte Opera. Maria has performed the role of Pitti Sing (Mikado) on tour in America and in Rome for the Carl Rosa Opera. The roles of Pitti Sing and Iolanthe have also taken her to perform at the Buxton Festival.

Other operatic roles include Third Lady (Magic Flute) garden opera and Opera by Definition, the title role in Carmen for Opera Box, Cannizaro Park, Opera Brava and Clonter Opera conducted by Tony Legge. Jadwiga (Haunted Manor) Opera Omnibus, Mme Larina and Filipevna (Eugene Onegin) Clonter Opera. Schwertleite (Die Walküre) and Flosshilde (Das Rheingold). The Mastersingers conducted by Tony Legge. Maria recently sang the roles of Thisbe (La Cenerentola) Epoc and Olga (Eugene Onegin) Kentish Opera.

Maria is equally at home on the Oratorio platform. Works include Messiah, Dream of Gerontius, Bach's B Minor Mass, St. John's Passion, Haydn's Nelson Mass and Rossini's Petite Messe Solonelle with the renowned pianists Ronan O'Hora and Stephen Hough.
